Scottish Prison Service censured
Following 2 incidents during August last year at HM Prison Barlinnie in Glasgow the Scottish Prison Service has been censured at a meeting in HSE's Glasgow office.
The incidents involved finger entrapments in a vibrating mould table in a concrete workshop, a risk assessment for the machine was not updated after modifications were made to it.
The Service submitted details of significant improvements to managerial systems implemented following the accidents in which 2 breaches of safety law were deemed to have been incurred.
