Craig Cooper - DipNEBOSH  (Managing Director)

I spent many years in business development, sales and sales management to the business community. It was whilst dealing with large organisations, helping them keep up to date with H&S legislation & guidance, that I wondered what small and medium sized companies were doing to manage their safety obligations. After a considerable bit of research, talking to various business owners from across various industries, I discovered they were all pretty much in the same boat, generally agreeing they were not doing as much as they should. This was because they did not know where to start or have the time or the expertise in-house to get things up and running, or if they did have things in place, they fell down with the management of safety, because they did not have a system in place to keep it all running smoothly and up to date.....from this Safetynet was born.

Quite simply we wanted to build a system that helped companies comply with the law, at a cost effective price, that would free them up to concentrate on their core activities and provide them with peace of mind.

After many years in business, I am very proud of the products, services and advice we deliver to our clients, however this can only be delivered by having a great team on board, these are the people that have allowed us to build such a great reputation in the North East of Scotland.

Jackie Cooper  (Director and Company Secretary)

I am responsible for the day to day running of the office, things like dealing with the accounts and invoices through to the more fun aspects of the job such as organising the training courses and dealing with customer requests and ensuring they are happy with our service.

In my spare time I am a bit of a fitness freak (unlike the real love of my life, my beloeved cokapoo Jessie) who a drag along for the ride. When I can fit it in I also like a game of golf with my 2 boys.

Kenny Robertson - CMIOSH (Senior H&S Consultant)

A Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner with extensive experience within various industries including Manufacturing, Construction and Agriculture. As a proactive leader and team player, I have a proven track record of delivering a positive Health and Safety culture. Committed to behavioural safety change in the workplace which I drive by influencing people’s views and beliefs, I actively encourage new and safer ways of working along with new innovations through engagement with staff at all levels within an organisation.

Holding a strong belief for “Safety by Design”, I believe many challenges faced on a daily basis by organisations and staff can be eliminated at the design and concept stage by working closely with both the designers and the staff who will be managing and operating the equipment or process. I achieve this by providing advice and assistance at an early stage to ensure all risks are assessed and suitable and sufficient mitigation measures are implemented providing the operational team(s) with sufficient information and instruction to undertake all work in a safe and controlled manner.

With this genuine and sincere passion for Health and Safety, I believe through positive engagement with management and staff, a target of Zero Harm can be achieved in the workplace.
